CANDIA SCHOOL DISTRICT
DISPLAYING OF FLAGS ON SCHOOL GROUNDS

No flag other than the United States of America and New Hampshire flags may be displayed, by the
Candia School District, on school grounds, including classrooms, common areas, and/or any other
areas or school property, unless it is a nation, state, or United States military flag used solely for
educational purposes within the adopted curriculum.

The Candia School District acknowledges the first amendment rights of students to personal
expression. Students may wear or display symbols, flags, and/or any other representations of their
beliefs of their choosing on their person and/or their personal belongings.

Candia School District staff may also wear or display symbols, flags, and/or other forms of personal
expression of their choosing on their person and/or their personal belongings with the
understanding that such expressions shall not be intended to influence students or fellow staff in
any way.
